Mountain Stewardship and the Alpine Club of Canada

Since inception in 1906, goals of the Alpine Club of Canada have included the preservation of the natural beauties of the mountain places, as well as giving voice to Canada’s mountaineering community. The mountains now need us more than ever.

Paul Dormaar has been the Chair of the Calgary Section of the Alpine Club of Canada for almost 4 years and has always had a keen interest in enjoying the mountains and in their stewardship.  After a diverse career, he is now able to spend more time promoting Alpine environments and their preservation.
